It's aim is to prepare the blood and blood components, methodically manage, organize, and coordinate the preparation of blood products and blood components with other medical institutions, except institutions where blood preperation departments are active. While the State Blood Donor Centre's branch in Latgale, in Rezekne prepares the blood and blood components and, on request, provides with them medical institutions directly in Latgale region.
